Scampers

scampers

Scampers, my dear
I’m so glad that you’re here
To comfort me in this time
I do miss the rest
Yet I love you the best
For that there can be no crime

There was only one spot
Like it or not
How could I leave you behind?
The very first pet
I ever did get
You’ve always been on my mind

I had to leave you before
And couldn’t do it once more
The hardest thing up until now
There’s been a great change
A great re-arrange
But you calm me with your meow

Adorable! Cats are the best 🙂 I’m curious about what you meant by “I had to leave you before.” Perhaps something to include in the poem, for new readers who might not know?

    Thanks for sharing!
