In a sunlit lamp
Sat fairies of the isle
Waiting on the mystic moon
With patience and a smile
Though the day is young
And dawn still strong and bright
Sat fairies of the isle
Content to wait for night
Oh, so many hours
They sit and bide their time
These fairies of the isle
Without a reason or a rhyme
And about the eve
When the mystic moon is high
Will the fairies of the isle
Come visit you and I?
