College Football Week 13 Preview

We’re down to the wire. One more week of regular season college football. Then, championship weekend. That’s it, all that’s left of the 2021 college football season until we reach bowl season. Week 12 had a slew of games to keep up with, a few surprising scores, but only one major upset. My picks went 7-3, 76-44 overall. The Heisman race is heating up, likely between two young quarterbacks. Week 13. Rivalry Week. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend have at least one game worth the watch. If anyone at ESPN reads this, I think I speak for everyone when I beg you, keep Sam Acho away from College Football Final. Go Irish!

Takeaways from Week 12:

  •  Dan Mullen’s out as head coach of the Florida Gators. He won’t get to finish his fourth year after a Sunday firing following a loss to MizzU.
  • Utah thumped Oregon38-7 for a big home upset win. This eliminates the Pac-12 from Playoff contention, and could possibly eliminate Oregon from a Pac-12 North division crown and shot at a conference championship.
  • Ohio State blows Michigan State out in front of a packed Ohio Stadium 56-7. The largest top-7 win margin since 1945 eliminates Michigan State from the college football playoffs and a B1G East division championship and B1G conference championship.

My Heisman Pick(s):
